Billehus~Askervik

On Wednesday, Dec. 27, occurred the marriage of Mr. Ottis Billehus and Miss Aagot Aakervik. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. W. Rosholt of this city, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Fosland of Blooming Valley township in the presence of the immediate relatives and friends.
The Bride was attended by Miss Ella Billehus and Miss Cora Moum, and the groom's attendants were Messrs. Justine Levik and Martin Fosland. The ceremony was performed in the parlor, which had been beautifully decorated for the occasion, after which a bountiful wedding dinner was served at 4 o'clock and a wedding supper at 9 o'clock. The evening was spent in playing games and singing and at 12 o'clock the wedding cake was served.
The bride has been in this country only about two years during which time she has made her home in Blooming Valley township where she is well known. The groom, a brother of Mrs. Oscar Lervik, is also well known.
The happy couple left the latter part of the week for Bottineau county where they will visit with relatives for a short time.

Death of Infant

The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Johnson, of Plumer Township, died Tuesday. The funeral services will be held today from the Troy Lutheran Church, Rev. J. W. Rosholt officiating.

Much Doing in Matrimony
Couples Hitched for Life at Hymen's Altar ---Prospects Bright

On Wednesday, Dec. 17, occurred a pretty wedding at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Russum, when their daughter, Miss Ragna Louise, was united in marriage to George Carlson of Crosby, N. D. While the wedding march was being played the bridal party took their places under a pretty arch of pink and white.
The ring ceremony was performed by Rev. E. O. Munkvold. The bride was beautifully gowned in crepe de chene, with a veil and carried brides roses. Miss Christine Moe acted as bridesmaid. The groom was attended by Carl Russum.
After the ceremony the guests sat down to a four course dinner. The bride was born and reared in this community. She is an accomplished young lady with a host of friends. The groom has grown to manhood in Fillmore county, Minn., and is the owner of much land near Crosby, where they will make their future home. Their plans are to take an extended trip to California before going to housekeeping. – Walsh County Record

Kolstad - Listul

Announcements have been received by friends here this week of the marriage of Mr. Matt Kolstad and Miss Tilda Listul. The ceremony was performed at the home of the bride's parents in Yellow Medicine county on January 9th.
The bride has made Crosby her home for the past few years, and is well and favorably known. The groom is one of Crosby's prominent business men, being the Junior partner in the firm of The Crosby Clothing House.
According to the announcements Mr. and Mrs. Kolstad will be home to their many friends about March 1st.

Prominent Couple Married

A marriage that has been looked forward to for some time by the many friends of the contracting parties took place Monday morning. Announcements of the happy event which made Knute S. Huso and Lulu S. Butler husband and wife were received by friends here Tuesday.
The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. W. Rosholt, of this city, at Concordia Lutheran Church at 6 o'clock Monday morning, and after a wedding breakfast at the Bergland Café, the happy young couple left for a honeymoon trip to Minnesota and Iowa. They were attended by Miss Rudah Wilson and Mr. Ed Enger, both of this city, who were the only witnesses of the happy event.
The bride, who is a niece of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Deck, of this place, since coming to this city has gained many friends all of whom hold her high in their esteem. She at first was employed in the Divide County Abstract Co's office, when Dan Cupid introduced her to Mr. Huso. Later she accepted a position in the office of the County Auditor where she was employed until she resigned only last week. She is a member of the Presbyterian Church, Sunday School, Christian Endeavor and Teachers Training Class, and is so well and favorably known here that comment is unnecessary.
The groom is one of the hustling young business men of this city, and is of the type and character that will make the young lady, whom he has chosen as his life partner, happy.
After spending some time at Minneapolis and St. Paul, Mr. and Mrs. Huso will go to Iowa where they will visit for a short time before returning.
Most heartily does the Journal join with the friends of the bride and groom in wishing them a bright future and a happy married life.

Jacobson - Haugen

Mr. John H. Jacobson and Miss Ingeborg Anna Haugen were united in marriage by Rev. J. W. Rosholt, of this city, on January 10, at 2:30 o'clock p.m. The ceremony was performed at the parlors of the Scandinavian Hotel in the presence of Mr. A. H. Dolan and Miss Emma Dolan.
The bride is quite well known here having made her home here for the past few years. The groom is also quite well known. He is a carpenter by trade, but also owns a fine farm in Saskatchewan, where they will make their home.

Marriage license

was issued on Tuesday to Mr. Leonard B. Nelson of Phillip, Mon., and Miss Christine M. Jacobson of Noonan, N. Dak.

Dr. Lenfest Passes Away

The sad news reached this city today, Friday, announcing that Dr. John W. Lenfest has passed to the Great Beyond at the home of his parents at Anoka, Minn., at about 5 o'clock. The doctor has been in ill health for a year or more, and none but intimate friends realized the seriousness of his condition, hence it came as a surprise to his many friends thruout the county when he was taken away a couple of weeks ago to the cities for treatment after a week's illness from a severe form of stomach trouble. From the cities he was taken to the home of his parents at Anoka, where he passed away.
Dr. Lenfest was one of our foremost physicians and will be greatly missed from his large field of practice in the Ambrose country, and deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved wife. Dr. Lenfest had been a practicing physician for over 12 years, residing in Bowbells before coming to this city several years ago. He was 38 years of age, and besides his wife, leaves a father, stepmother, two sisters and a brother. He was a member of the A. F. & A. M., having attained the degree of Shriner. – Ambrose Tribune.
