We are searching for first person accounts by Germans from
Hungary(Banaters) who homesteaded in Southwestern North Dakota,
particularly, Stark, Hettinger, Mercer and Morton counties. We are
searching for manuscripts which were written by original immigrants from
the Banat describing life in the homeland, the trip to America and/or

Surnames: BOHRER, WALKER
My mother was born in a town called "Golden Valley". It built on the banks of Goodman Creek in Goodman Valley. My mother was born in 1917. Her maiden name was Bohrer and her mother's maiden name was Walker. I am trying to find some information on either the Bohrer's or the Walkers. I have little info. But I do have some given names. I don't know where to start but I am going to try to create a family tree.
