Walsh County North Dakota History
This map created using Animap Walsh County was Created from Grand Forks County 8 Feb 1881 and organized 30 Aug 1881 with Grafton the county seat. It was named for George H Walsh (1845-1913), a newspaperman and politician in Grand Forks. Area of the County is 1287 square miles. The 1980 population was 15,000. It shares much of its geologic and early human history with Pembina County to the North.My name is Available.
